Prior to dirtward aentitainment already released two EPs by utopia:banished, the first, "nano" and the second, "innocent pt.II".
The sound of dirtward comes right from the gut - with distorted
guitars, accompanied by harsh drums and empowered by driving basslines.
The vocals by chris, the mastermind of utopia:banished, range from
vulnerable honesty to brutally screaming anger. The powerful vocals are
impelled by everyday experiences and disappointment about the behaviour
of people, a corrupt and caringless society.
Maybe this album is not rock music, maybe it is not electronic music,
but it certainly is music, influenced by both. It also comes with what
you may call a punk attitude.
dirtward is not ment to suit the masses and not even ment to be
understood by anyone, it simply is directed to the musically intrigued
thinker and to the music-enthusiast looking for something really new
and aggressive.
